Privacy and advertising
This page explains how advertising and related data use may work on BirthDB.
1. Purpose
BirthDB provides birthday and anniversary information and browser features, measures site use and displays advertising.
2. Information processed
Measurement uses fixed public page categories only. Original URLs, referrers, queries, fragments and personal input are not sent. Google Analytics measurement stops when input begins. Category view counters expire 90 days after the last update. Providers may process cookies, advertising identifiers, connection logs, IP addresses, device and browser information and approximate location.
3. External tools and provider policies
Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense, Google Fonts, jsDelivr are used. Google AdSense and third-party advertising providers may process cookies and site-usage data. Provider policies are linked below. Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver fonts and may receive connection information such as IP addresses and browser details.
4. Processing across borders
Google and hosting or delivery providers may process connection information outside your country to deliver the service, analyze use and display advertising. Processing countries and retention follow provider policies and service settings. This page does not assert unverified processing countries or retention periods.
5. Cookies and consent
The default Google measurement and advertising storage consent is denied in the EEA, UK and Switzerland and granted elsewhere. These are default settings and do not imply that a consent selection interface is provided. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Google ad settings let you change personalized advertising preferences.
6. Browser storage
Features such as favorites, display state and quiz progress may use browser storage. Browser site-data settings can clear it. Shared URLs containing input values can be read by recipients; avoid including personal information.
7. Retention
Browser data may remain until cleared, the session ends or a feature updates it. External service retention follows service settings and provider policies.
8. Contact
Contact: Email contact. Inquiry emails are deleted six months after we reply.
9. Effective date and changes
Effective date: 2026-10-10. This revision describes measurement tools, regional consent defaults, input redaction and preservation of catalog paths and titles.
